All of the data available within the B3 Benchmarking application can be exported to Microsoft Excel workbooks for offline analysis. The Export to Excel tool is available from the Tools menu or the Data tab.
Standard Exports
The Export to Excel window contains two different methods for exporting. Standard Exports and Custom Exports. The user can select exported data by sites, site usage, buildings, meters, and miscellaneous. Options are available to further refine the exports with specific meter source types, normalization options, baseline comparison options and weather normalization options.
A Microsoft Excel worksheet will be created for each selection.
Custom Export
The Custom Exports tab lets you create your own export templates containing specific fields in a specific order. Granularity of data must be selected. Choices include organization, site, building, and meter. Commonly used fields are checked by default. The user can click the "Uncheck All" button to start with a blank slate. The user then can make selections on which fields to be used. Energy fields are marked in green, water fields in blue, ENERGY STAR fields in light blue, and common fields in dark gray. Fields can also be dragged and dropped into different orders. The template that has been created can also be saved. It must receive a name, then the save button must be clicked.
