Overview
Adding a new meter is an editor in the 'Tools Menu'. In the pop-up window, the user is able to select the meter source types they'd like to add. Adding a new meter can also be done within the 'Data' tab, by clicking the plus icon in the top right corner of the meters widget.
Energy Meters
B3 provides a variety of common energy source types, including electric, natural gas, steam and chilled water. Renewable types include solar PV, wind, solar thermal and hydropower. Delivery source types include propane, fuel oil, ethanol, coal, coke, diesel, kerosene, and wood.
Water Meters
B3 also supports a variety of different water meter source types. These include mixed use, indoor only, outdoor/irrigation only, pool, other (e.g. cooling tower), sewer only, and stormwater fee only. To add more than one of each type, update the quantity. Detail refinement includes the name, units, connection date, frequency, and peak options. The finish button will create the meters. Waste Meters
Additionally, B3 supports waste tracking. These meter types include trash, recyclables, organics, and donations/reuse. Review 30 - Waste Tracking for more details.
